Make friends with Hangul
Recognise consonants and vowels, combine syllable blocks and begin reading simple words. Work on sounds before romanisation becomes your permanent plus-one.
Practise: reading 나무, 바다 and 우유.

Make a sentence of your own
Learn polite endings, basic particles and Korean sentence order. Introduce yourself and talk about something you like.
Practise: 저는 한국어를 좋아해요. — I like Korean.

Use everyday vocabulary for food, time, places and routines. Ask simple questions and answer them in short exchanges.

A TINY TASTE OF CLASS
One pattern. Your first little conversation.
You are at a café. 주세요 is a polite way to ask for something: “Please give me…” Put the thing you want before it.
물 주세요.
Water, please.
커피 주세요.
Coffee, please.
Notice the order: the thing first, then 주세요. One useful pattern, more than one situation.

How would you ask for tea?
차 means tea. Choose the phrase with the same word order.
- 차 주세요.
- 주세요 차.
Show me the answer
차 주세요. — Tea, please. The item comes before 주세요. Try changing 차 to 물, then say it again without looking.
That is the idea: understand a small pattern, use it, and give it a reason to stay in your head.
KOREAN THAT FITS YOUR WEEK
Class gives you direction. Practice makes it yours.
Try a short review between lessons: read yesterday’s sentences, recall a few words, then say one new thing aloud. You do not need to turn every evening into exam season.
A useful starting routine is 20 minutes: five for reading, five for vocabulary, five for speaking and five for revisiting a mistake. Adjust it to your energy and schedule.

Can I join if I do not know the Korean alphabet?
Yes. Complete beginners can start with Hangul, pronunciation and simple syllable blocks. You do not need to memorise an alphabet chart before enquiring.
Are the Korean language classes live or recorded?
Hallyu Heights offers live online lessons with teacher guidance. You can ask questions and practise using Korean. For recording availability, please check the arrangement for your chosen course before enrolling.
How much do online Korean classes cost?
The advertised beginner plan is ₹1,999 per month for eight live classes. If you want personalised 1:1 lessons, mention that in your enquiry so I can confirm the suitable format and fee.
What will I learn as a beginner?
Your foundation includes Hangul, pronunciation, useful vocabulary, basic grammar, polite sentences, speaking, listening and reading. The learning path above shows the skills we work towards; the pace depends on your starting point and practice.
How long does it take to learn Korean?
Learning to read simple Hangul words is an early milestone; comfortable conversation takes sustained practice over months, and broader fluency takes longer. Your weekly study time and goal matter more than a single deadline. Read the learning timeline guide for a practical breakdown.
Can I learn Korean while studying or working full time?
Yes, you can build a routine around classes and short practice sessions. Share your availability when you enquire so we can discuss current timings. Start with a study routine you can repeat, rather than a perfect one you abandon after three days.
What are the class timings and how long is each session?
Please share the days and times that work for you in the demo enquiry. Current timings and session length will be confirmed for your chosen course before enrolment.
Can I join from Bangalore, Delhi or outside India?
The lessons are online, so you do not need to travel to a classroom. You will need a stable internet connection and a device with a microphone. If you are outside India, include your time zone in the enquiry.
Can I learn Korean for TOPIK through these classes?
Yes, TOPIK can be part of your learning goal. Tell me your current level and the exam level you are working towards so we can discuss suitable preparation. Beginner classes also build everyday speaking and reading skills.
I know some Hangul already. Do I have to start from zero?
Tell me what you have studied and what you can comfortably read or say. That helps us discuss a suitable starting point rather than assuming every learner needs the same first lesson.
Do I need to buy books or flashcards before joining?
Please check the materials for your selected course before buying anything. Hallyu Heights also has a reading book and a separate Vocabulary Lab; do not assume those products are included in the class fee.
What happens if I miss a class?
Mention any regular scheduling difficulties before enrolling. Ask about the missed-class, recording and rescheduling arrangements for your course so you know what applies before paying.
Will I receive a certificate or be guaranteed a TOPIK score?
A TOPIK score is awarded through the official exam, not through attending a class. No particular score is guaranteed. If you need a course-completion certificate, ask about availability before enrolling.
Can I understand K-dramas without subtitles after the course?
You can work towards recognising more words, expressions and sentence patterns. Understanding full episodes without subtitles involves fast speech, accents and unfamiliar vocabulary, so it is a longer-term goal rather than a beginner-course promise.
